Davide Spadoni

Originally from Italy, Davide Spadoni started teaching in his home country at 21, deciding to leave competitive Tennis to pursue an international coaching career. Finding Tennis a game practised in every corner of the world and eager to know other cultures and coaching methods, in 2009, Davide moved to London, where he worked for several years with players of any age and level, discovering his passion for teaching competitive juniors and developing them into collegiate and Pro players. While still in London, he had the chance to meet and work with Andy Dowsett, the director of PTR Great Britain and now the founder of System9. He learned the technicalities with different levels and abilities from 4 to 10 years old. Pushed again from his hunger for learning and growing, in 2017, Davide had the opportunity to move to the United States and learn from Steve Smith, one of the most well-known coaches in the industry, funder of The Great Base, a teaching method based on physical laws and biomechanics. Steve was a student of tennis pillars such as Vic Braden and Dennis Van Der Meer. Davide absorbed as much information as possible, combining their knowledge to develop his style, giving the Spadoni Tennis Academy its identity. Through this experience with Steve, Davide had the opportunity to work with Victor Lilov, n.1 Junior in the USA in 2016, winner of the Orange Bowl U12 in 2016 in Miami, finalist of the 2021 Wimbledon championships boys single and ITF junior ranking of World No.3 in 2022. He also worked with George Goldhoff, nominated Player of the Year in 2012 in the USA, winner of the Boys 18 USTA National Winter Championship in 2013, and other well-known players in the American youth tennis scene. Still, in 2017, Davide was invited to partner with and solidify the already well-established Advantage Tennis Academy in Irvine, California, is one of the leading schools in the nation and has been nominated among the top 5 academies in the US. He worked with the American branch of ATA for about a year; after that, he relocated to Cairo, Egypt, to launch their second international base with the role of Head Coach/Director, where he coached for two years, helping Sandra Samir (best ranking n.1 in Egypt and n.330 WTA)to improve her ranking, Youssef Hossam (best ranking n.2 in Egypt and n.291 ATP) and developing some of the most upcoming players in the region. Davide also had an appearance at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca in 2020, where he worked with high-performance junior players, and due to the COVID-19 breakthrough, he had to let go of the opportunity. Since September 2020, Davide has been based in Dubai, where he launched the Mouratoglou Tennis Center in Jumeirah. On top of the other responsibilities, Davide was in charge of growing the youth sector for Mouratoglou to transform the United Arab Emirates into one of the most competitive destinations worldwide. Despite the admirable challenges and high expectations in achieving such a goal, Davide embarked on this adventure on his own with the launch of his new brand, the Spadoni Tennis Academy, aims to have a life impact on all of his students worldwide.
